Seven Telework Challenges
Below are seven of the challenges of implementing Telework. While these are not the
only challenges, we believe they are the greatest ones. Each organization that
chooses to implement Teleworking will have to create their own plans, policies,
and procedures to address or negate these challenges. These challenges can be
accomplished and the rewards can be great.
1. Who gets to work from home?
2. Salary, hourly, or pay for completed work?
3. Managers can't do "Walk Around" Management!
4. Will employees play or work at home?
5. Teleworker has little contact with others. (isolation)
6. No I.T. support at home.
7. How much work variety is required to prevent burnout?
